CCÉ LEAC SNÁMHA

The Lixnaw St Patricks day parade will take place following the 11.30 mass leaving from the community centre and we invite as many members as possible to come and join us to represent our branch and then to the ceolann for refreshmen­ts and some entertainm­ent so bring all your instrument­s and dancing shoes please.

Please note that music classes will be held as normal on Saturday next 16th and a reminder again to please pay any unpaid membership­s as soon as possible to our secretary Anne. We must again compliment and thank all our young members and their parents for their week after week commitment, work and interest, our constant aim in our branch is to facilitate the passing on of our traditions of music, song, dance and the irish language and this is being achieved with everyones input.

BAPTISM PREPARATIO­N PROGRAMME

Athletes and Volunteers meet on Tuesday in the Community Centre 7pm. to 8pm. where the athletes play a game of Bocce. RING OF KERRY CYCLE

We are absolutely thrilled to have been selected as one of the main charities in this year’s Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle which takes place this year on July 6th. We are equally honoured that Ireland’s rugby captain, Ciara Griffin, will be our charity ambassador for the event and will cycle on the day for us. FINE DINING AT THE ROSE

Four of Ireland’s finest chefs and former colleagues (Executive chef of The Rose Hotel, Odran Lucey, executive chef of The Marker Hotel, Gareth Mullins, executive pastry chef and executive chef of The Merrion Hotel, Paul Kelly and Ed Cooney) will join forces to create a dining experience to remember at The Rose Hotel, Tralee on April 5 Hotel to raise funds for Recovery Haven Kerry Cancer Support House.

The evening will be hosted by Elaine Kinsella of Radio Kerry and music will be provided by ‘Celebratio­n’. There will also be a range of excellent spot prizes including a weekend in the Fairmount St. Andrews in Scotland with a round of golf as well as overnight stays at The Merrion Hotel and The Marker Hotel. KILLARNEY OUTREACH

Our Killarney Outreach service will operate at The Reeks, Killarney on Tuesday next March 18th. We will offer a free, dropin support service from 10am to 2pm. Complement­ary therapies and one to one counsellin­g is also available by appointmen­t, by calling our main office on 066 7192122.

We had a very busy weekend in terms of fundraisin­g and want to say a massive thank you to everyone at Mid Kerry Macra who organised a hugely successful tractor run in Milltown on Sunday. Thank you too to everyone involved in Abbeydorne­y Drama Group who were kind enough to offer us a third of their door sales and the raffle slot during Friday night’s performanc­e of ‘Nobody’s Talking to Me’. We are extremely grateful to both groups and of course those who came along and supported us.
