The Lixnaw St Patricks day parade will take place following the 11.30 mass leaving from the community centre and we invite as many members as possible to come and join us to represent our branch and then to the ceolann for refreshmen­ts and some entertainm­ent so bring all your instrument­s and dancing shoes please.

Please note that music classes will be held as normal on Saturday next 16th and a reminder again to please pay any unpaid membership­s as soon as possible to our secretary Anne. We must again compliment and thank all our young members and their parents for their week after week commitment, work and interest, our constant aim in our branch is to facilitate the passing on of our traditions of music, song, dance and the irish language and this is being achieved with everyones input. COACH CONVOY

No less than nine buses took to the roads of west Kerry on Saturday for the Inch/Annascaul branch coach convoy around Slea Head.

Over 400 people were treated to the wonderful sights, great entertainm­ent and wonderful refreshmen­ts after in The Scellig Hotel. A huge effort by the organisers and with the help of the many who supported it raised a total of over €13,000. A great day out with huge generosity shown through by all for this event.

To the bus drivers, the entertaine­rs, the volunteers, the staff of the Skellig Hotel and all who sponsored in any way we are hugely grateful.

Roll on the next tour.

SPA FENIT BRANCH

Spa Fenit Branch held a quiz on Thursday night in the Oyster Tavern. A huge crowd turned out and again it was hugely supported by all.

Total raised was €1100 and a huge thank you to all who supported and to all who sponsored spots prizes on the night.

EVENTS

Ten very brave people from the Half Way Bar in Ballymac will take to the skies in April for a sky dive in aid of KHF. They are looking for your support over the next few weeks.

There will be a fashion show in O’Riada’s Bar on the 5th of April in aid of two charities. MC on the night will be former Rose of Tralee Breda Hyland. Tickets are limited and can be got by contacting Mary on 0872064119.
