THE new Specsavers outlet in Tralee is to be officially opened by the optician chains brand ambassador the well known Kerry hotelier and TV personality Francis Brennan tomorrow (Thursday).

Last week the Tralee branch of the chain moved from Castle Street to a new outlet at Bridge Street just off Tralee’s Mall the county capital’s main shopping street.

The newly-opened store – overseen by store directors Bridget Slattery and Maura O’Donnell – is a state-of-the-art facility that will house all the latest equipment including three bespoke optical testing rooms and a soundproof room and booth for hearing checks.

“At Specsavers, we are committed to developing and improving our stores so that customers have access to the latest technology, as well as in-store expertise from knowledgeable optometrists and audiologists,” said Ms Slattery.

“We are thrilled to now house both optical and audiology services under the one roof and we look forward to welcoming new and existing customers to our new and improved store on Bridge Street,” Bridget Slattery said ahead of the official opening.

Ophthalmic director at Specsavers Tralee, Maura O’Donnell, said the team at the outlet are thrilled to have Francis Brennan in store on the day to celebrate the opening of the new store.

“We are encouraging locals to pop in next Thursday to join in the celebrations and for the opportunity to meet Francis. It promises to be a great day,” she told The Kerryman.

Francis Brennan has teamed up with the expert team at Specsavers to highlight the importance of taking a proactive approach to hearing loss.

He will be meeting and chatting to customers in Specsavers Tralee to celebrate the opening of the new relocated store next Thursday, 7 November, from 1.30pm onwards and all are welcome to attend the event.
