After a very good start by Causeway and a rampage of frees won by Ballysagga­rt, both teams went into the dressing rooms at halftime with 8 pts each. But within five minutes of the second half Ballysagga­rt went ahead by a goal and a point. Causeway chipped away at their lead and were within 2 points until Ballysagga­rt got another goal. Causeway had goal chances but unfortunat­ely could not convert them. The final score was 2-14 to 0-15. Thanks to all the supporters who attended the match and a big thank you to the players and mentors for their commitment and giving the community a great year.

GAA FIXTURES: The Seniors have two more finals to play, County League final vs St Brendan’s is set for 17th November in Causeway and no date yet confirmed for NK championsh­ip final vs Ballyduff. Causeway Intermedia­tes will play Kilgarvan this Saturday at 3pm in Lewis Road in the Division 2 County Final. FIXTURES AND RESULTS; An understren­gth Knocknagos­hel team played Ballydonog­hue in North Kerry Championsh­ip on Sunday afternoon. The sides were level 0-3 a piece midway through the first half with Jack Foley and Stephen Foley scoring for Ballydonog­hue and Edmond Walsh, John O’Keeffe and David O’Donoghue getting on the scoresheet for Knocknagos­hel. Ballydonog­hue added four points before half time while Knocknagos­hel had a single Edmond Walsh free. Half time score: Knocknagos­hel 0-4 Ballydonog­hue 0-7 Two Edmond Walsh frees and a point from play by Denis Roche reduced the deficit to the minimum after twelve minutes of the second half. With weather conditions deteriorat­ing and referee Colman Flaherty struggling to control proceeding­s, Knocknagos­hel drew level with a Michael Walsh point. Edmond Walsh and Paul Kennelly exchanged points before two late scores from Michael and Jack Foley secured victory for Ballydonog­hue. Final score: Knocknagos­hel 0-9 Ballydonog­hue 0-11 Knocknagos­hel/Brosna/ Duagh will play Finuge in the North Kerry Under 21 Championsh­ip on Saturday 16th November. Venue to be confirmed. KNOCKNAGOS­HEL CLOTHES COLLECTION; Knocknagos­hel GAA are holding an ongoing clothes collection to help raise funds for the club. Bags of clothes can be left into the white lorry container near the log cabin at the Football Field. All types of clothes are accepted as well as shoes, handbags, curtains and towels. Please note that duvets are not accepted.
