Superb performance from Causeway in Déise county defeat

ALTHOUGH putting up a superb performance, Causeway went down to the Waterford champions, Ballysaggart last Sunday at the Fraher Field in Dungarvan in the quarter final of the Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship. Final score 2-13 to 0-15.
In the Munster Junior Hurling
Championship quarter-final, Kilgarvan will have a home tie against the Cork champions on Saturday week, November 16.
County Leagues
THE Final of the County Senior Hurling League Division 1 between StBrendans and Causeway has been fixed for Sunday week, November 17. The Division 2 Final will see Causeway meet Kilgarvan.

Shinty
CONGRATULATIONS to the six Kerry hurlers who represented Ireland in the annual Shinty international series versus Scotland on Saturday last at the GAA National Games Development Centre in Abbotstown. The Under 21 team won on a score of 32 to 12. Shane Conway [Lixnaw] was captain and be was ably assisted by Fionán Mackessy [St Brendans], Barry O’Mahony and Tomás O’Connor [Crotta]. In the senior contest Scotland had an easy victory and the Kerry players involved were Mikey Boyle [Ballyduff] and Shane Nolan [Crotta].
Awards
THE North Kerry Hurling Board annual awards function will take place at Ballyroe Heights Hotel on Friday, November 29. The Tralee Parnells annual awards take place on this Friday,at Halla Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn, Trá Lí from 6.20pm, while the club AGM takes place on Friday, November 15. THE Final of the Rhyno Quality
Feeds North Kerry Under 21 Hurling Championship [Paddy Kelly Cup] between St Brendans v Crotta O’Neills did not go ahead on Sunday last as a neutral venue could not be made available.
