1. STAG & DOE SESSIONS COMING BACK TO TRALEE

TRALEE is set for another great night of music next month when the popular ‘Stag & Doe’ sessions returns to the Fiddler Bar on Friday, November 15 at 9pm.

Bands on the night will include ‘Fallen Lights’, ‘Stolen City’ and the excellent ‘Outlion’. Tickets are set to cost €10 on the door and €8 if you buy them online from Eventbrite. This is a strictly over 18’s event.

2. ADAPT KERRY CHARITY FASHION SHOW THIS WEEK

ADAPT Kerry Charity Shop in Tralee will hold a fundraisin­g fashion show in the Ballyroe Heights Hotel next Friday November 8.

MC on the night will be Radio Kerry’s Alan Finn and while music on the night will be provided by Noel Mac and Len Casey.

Call in-store to buy your tickets or get them on the door on the night.

3. TABLE QUIZ AND RAFFLE IN AID OF TWO CHARITIES

A fundraisin­g table quiz along with a draw for both Kerry Hospice and Comfort for Chemo will take place in the Meadowland­s Hotel over a weekend in November.

The table quiz will be taking place on the Friday, November 15 from 8pm onwards while the Bicycle raffle draw will take place on the night after, on Saturday November 16 at 10pm.

4. NATIONAL CIRCUS FESTIVAL IN TRALEE

TRALEE is this week preparing to play host to the 18th National Circus Festival of Ireland which will be taking place from the 14th to the 17th of November.

Highlights over the week will include circus workshops, a parade through the town, amazing shows and much more.

5. LISTOWEL PREPS FOR ANNUAL FOOD FAIR

EXCITEMENT in building around Listowel this week as we approach the start of the five day celebratio­n of food that is the ‘Listowel Food Fair’ which will run from November 7 to 11 in various locations around town.

Now into its 25th year, the festival continues to attract visitors from all over the county to Listowel and looking at this year’s schedule of events, 2019 looks set again to be a belter of a few days.

6. KILIMANJAR­O MAMA TO BE SHOWN IN SIAMSA

KILIMANJAR­O Mama, the winner of the Best Feature Film award at this year’s Kerry Film Festival will be showin in Siamsa Tíre on November 21; all funds raised from the night will go directly back into the Tír na nÓg orphanage that the film is based on.

The night will take place at 8pm while there will be two school performanc­es at both 10:30am and 11:30am; tickets are available to buy from the Siamsa Tíre box office.

They will cost €20 but just €5 per student with a school.

7. REHEARSED PLAY READING

A REHEARSED reading of the winner of Listowel Writer’s Week Eamon Keane Full-Length Play Award 2019 will take place in Siamsa Tíre on Sunday November 10 at 7pm.

This will be a completely free performanc­e by Michael Hilliard Mulcahy.

8. GRAND VARIETY CONCERT IN CYMS HALL IN KILLORGLIN

THE Killorglin Archive Society and Killorglin Music Connect will hold a Grand Variety Concert on Friday November 15 at 8pm in the CYMS Hall.

Everyone is invited to attend with music, song, dance and a healthy dose of craic guaranteed,

9. FENIT RNLI BLACK TIE CHARITY BALL IN BALLYROE

AS part of the 25 year celebratio­n of the Fenit RNLI, the group will be holding a ‘Black Tie Charity Ball’ in the Ballyroe Heights Hotel on the Saturday November 23.

There will be a drinks reception, canapes, a four course meal and win with music to be provided by Deuces Wild; this will be followed afterwards by a disco until late.

10. GET EXERCISING THIS WEEKEND WITH PARKRUN

WHY not try to head down to take part in one of the many parkruns taking place around Kerry at the weekends? There are five parkruns in Kerry: Tralee, Killarney, Listowel, Inch Beach and the Tralee junior parkrun.

These free 5km events are run every weekend by volunteers and they have been proven to be extremely popular in improving both physical and mental health.

The Tralee. Listowel and Killarney parkruns are held every Saturday morning from 9:30am onwards while the Tralee Junior parkrun takes place on Sunday at 9:30am - these 2km events are aged for children from 4-14 years old.

People can register and print off their run barcodes at parkrun. ie.
