GRANT FUNDING: St Senans GAA were allocated €11,327.00 from the Sports Capital Grant 2019, the funding will part fund refurbishment of the dressing rooms. The club would like to thank Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport, Brendan Griffin and Councillor Mike Kennelly for their assistance.
RESULT: North Kerry Championship Semi-Final St Senans 3-14 Tarbert 3-05 Senans booked their place in the final with victory over Tarbert, Senans attacked from the throw in with a pointed free by Sean O’Connell. Tarbert replied a minute later levelling matters, however Senans pushed on in the opening quarter registering a further 1-03 without reply a Paudie Quille shot deflected off a Tarbert back into the net, and points from Donal Hunt and Sean O’Connell. Twenty minutes in Donal Hunt raised the second green flag for Senans, two minutes later Tarbert pulled one back when they slotted the ball past the Senans keeper. Senans closed out the half with points from Sean O’Connell (2), Paudie Dillon and Eoin O’Connell and the final score of the half was a Tarbert point.
On the resumption Sean O’Connell pointed three on the trot without reply and Senans controlled the second with a fine team display the backs defending fiercely midfield linked up nicely with the forward who were on target. Senans had lost three players to injury in the lead up to the match best wishes to Mike Keane, Conor Kennelly and Aodan Behan for a speedy recovery looking forward to seeing you all back in the blue and gold soon.
