First ever Kerry Hurling Coaching Conference to take place Friday

THE first Kerry Hurling Coaching Conference will take place on this Friday, January 17, 7.30pm - 9.30pm.

Note that the venue has been changed to the Rose Hotel, Tralee. Guest speakers on the evening will be former Waterford hurling manager, Derek McGrath, along with current Tipperary senior hurling selector and former player,

Eoin Kelly.

The event is organised on behalf of the Kerry Coaching & Games Developmen­t Committee. There is a limited amount of places for the conference.

A booking fee of €50 will cover all coaches from a club. Clubs should confirm the names of coaches that will be attending by this Wednesday, January 15 to giles.ogrady.gda.kerry@gaa.ie or colm.obrien.gda.kerry@gaa.ie.

North Kerry

THE Annual Convention of the North Kerry Hurling Board is fixed for Thursday, January 16. Venue will be the Abbeydorne­y GAA Complex where proceeding­s get underway at 8pm.

All current officers have been returned unopposed. THE AGM of Lady’s Walk Hurling Club will take place on Friday, January 17, 7.30pm. Venue is Lowe’s, Ballyduff.

A big night for St Brendans Juvenile Hurling Club in the Ardfert Community Centre on this Saturday evening from 7pm as they will present medals to their very successful underage sides of 2019 while on the same evening, County Senior Champions, Causeway, will be presented with their championsh­ip medals at a Victory Dance to be held at the Ballyroe Heights Hotel.
