DENNY PREMIER B

Killorglin 5 Ballyhar Dynamos 2

KILLORGLIN are playing well below par so far this season but they got a much welcome win on Sunday defeating title chasing Ballyhar Dynamos.

The winners had to do it the hard way as Ballyhar raced into a 2-0 lead with goals from Padraig O’Connor after 34 seconds and Mike Daly in the 25th minute. However, Killorglin pulled a goal back in the 32nd minute with young Stephen Sealy setting up Lee Carey and he finished top the net.

Killorglin took control of the game in the second half and were on level terms in the 50th minute after a fine finish by Liam Carey. They took the lead just past the hour mark with a fine goal by Lee Carey and when Audie Dunlea added another after a great run they were in the driving seat.

Killorglin emptied the bench bringing in young Darragh Dennehy for his senior debut up front and after making one or two good runs he set up Liam Carey for his second and Killorglin’s fifth of the day.

There was one final bit of drama when Ballyhar were awarded a penalty but Bryan O’Sullivan in the Killorglin goals made a fine save. Best for Ballyhar were Trevor O’Shea, Adrien Courtney, Dan O’Shea, Kevin O’Sullivan, Maurice O’Donoghue, Ger Fitzgerald, Diarmuid Brosnan and Donnacha O’Sullivan.

AC Athletic 0 Killarney Celtic ‘B’ 5
