Variety Dance Classes for adults every Friday night in the Parish Hall, Ballylongf­ord from 7.30 to 9pm. A fun way to learn how to dance. Classes include polkas, waltzing, jiving, quicksteps and social dancing.

BINGO FOLLOWERS

SYMPATHY

Sincerest sympathy is extended to the family of Pat Joe Keane R.I.P. of St Patrick’s Terrace Tarbert and formerly of Lenamore, Ballylongf­ord who passed away on Thursday January 9th last Requiem Mass took place on Tuesday last in St Mary’s Church Tarbert followed by interment afterwards in Lislaughti­n Abbey. Sympathy is also extended to the O’Sullivan family of Charles Street Listowel and formerly of Graffa on the passing of Noreen O’ Sullivan who died on Thursday 9th January. Requiem Mass took place on Saturday morning last in St Mary’s Church Listowel with interment afterwards in St Michael’s Cemetry Church St, Listowel. Noreen was a sister of the late Tom R.I.P. who for many years operated a jeweller shop in Church Street.

Sympathy is also extended to John James O’ Mahony and family of Kilcolgan, Tarbert on the sad passing of his sister Marie Carmody (née Mary Ann Mahony) Maglass, Ballymcell­igott, Tralee and formerly of Kilcolgan Tarbert who died on Saturday 4th January last. Requiem mass took place in St Brendan’s Church Clogher on Thursday 9th January with interment afterwards in Clogher Cemetery. May they Rest in Peace.

ROAD WORKS

Road Works will continue all next week on the R551on the main Ballylongf­ord to Tarbert Road. Traffic light systems in place on the R551 so please drive carefully. Anybody travelling to Abbeyfeale v Kilmorna are also advised that a Full road closure on the Kilmorna road will be in operation from Monday the 13th to Friday 17th of January and again from Monday the 20th to Friday the 24th of January between the times of 8am to 6pm on each day. People travelling to Abbeyfeale will have to divert by Athea or Listowel.
