Congratulations to Jack Hennessy in receiving an award at the annual Kerry Sports Stars in the category Unsung Hero for his work with the club and Scor. Jack has always kept members well informed with his detailed notes in the various media outlets. Also, well respected through the county his work with Scor. One the longest serving officer’s of the Club, Jack was never found wanting to help out in the Club. Thank you Jack.
C C C. Congratulations to Patsy Coughlan on been returned to the C C C of the North Kerry Football Board at their first meeting of 2020 held in Ballydonoghue clubhouse. Wishing him well on his appointment once again. Shannon Rangers AGM held in Ballydonoghue Clubhouse last Tuesday evening, the following were elected to office for the year ahead President Brian McCarthy, Chairman, Joe Langan, Secretary, Alan Kennelly, Treasurers, John Dee and Fergus Stack, PRO, Gerard Moran. 1 16 Moyvane 1 7; Sunday Ballyduff 2 9 Ballylongford 1 9.
ANNUAL SOCIAL: Ballyduff Gaa Social will take on Saturday February 29th in the Rose Hotel, Tralee. Tickets cost €30 and will be available from Club Officers during the week. It promises to be a great night so get your tickets on time. SPLIT THE BUCKET: Congratulations to Aidan Behan, Abbeydorney, who was this week’s winner of €100 in the Coiste na Nóg Split the Bucket. Next draw will take place on February 14th at Sheehy’s Londis. It costs just €2 to take part and “if you are not in you can’t win”.
KERRY HURLERS: Well done to Kerry Senior hurlers who had a great victory over a good Offaly team in National League at Austin Stacks on Sunday. Final Score Kerry 2-11 to Offaly 0-14. The Ballyheigue Club were represented on the Kerry team by Michael Leane who played a great game at Wing Forward. GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn on Tuesday 28th January in the Ballyheigue GAA Lotto 8.16.21.28. The Jackpot of €1,800 was not won. The two €50 winners were Ash Fitzgerald Heirhill and John Brassil The Village. The €25 winner was Sean Geaney Bouleenshere. Next Weeks Jackpot is €1,850. The GAA Lotto will now take place on Tuesday evening.
