INDOOR HURLING: Our U10s were the first group of players to get back into action for 2020 with an enthusiastic gang in action on Sunday morning. Well done to the players and coaches. AGMThe senior club AGM was held in the clubrooms on Friday evening with the outgoing officers returned unopposed. Secretary John Nolan and Chairman Joe Walsh outlined their reports for the year and thanked everyone who assisted in the running and upkeep of the club and facilities in any way and looked forward to a successful 2020.

KERRY HURLERS: The senior hurlers continued on their winning ways with an exciting 2-11 to 0-14 win over Offaly in front of a good crowd at Austin Stack park on Sunday. Unfortunately Kilmoyley had no player on the panel with Daniel Collins continuing to nurse a knee injury. Kerry are away to Meath on Saturday 15th February in round 3.CamogieIt was a disappointing start to the 2020 season for the Kerry senior camogie team who were beaten 2-12 to no score by Galway in Gort on Saturday in round 1 of the National league. Kerry only started 8 of the side that featured in the All-Ireland junior final so a number of new players got valuable experience. Clodagh Walsh was the only starter from Kilmoyley while Aoife Godley was introduced as a sub.Kerry are away to Derry this Sunday in round 2 and will be hoping for a better result.

The Kerry minor team played in a blitz on Sunday in preparation for their upcoming minor B opener against Meath on 16th February. They acquitted themselves very well against teams from Cork, Limerick and Clare. Sarah McCarthy and Sarah Walsh featured on the team.

CILLARD: What a year 2019 was for camogie in Kerry. Hopefully, with the exposure, many more girls will get involved and see the great benefits that come from playing a great sport and the great friendships and enjoyment they will get from playing camogie with Cillard camogie club. With the new season about to get under way, we would like to invite anyone that is interested in helping out the club in any way possible to let us know. We appreciate all the help we get and as the club membership grows we need more people to get involved. With regulations on Child welfare which is very important, all volunteers have to be Garda vetted and partake in a Child welfare course which is a one off course, held of an evening organised by county executive. Everyone one in the club who has a role or helps out has to have these done. This is based on Parents knowing that before they involve their daughter in playing camogie that there are procedures in place for their safety and for Coaches/ volunteers. Coaches in the club also have to partake in training courses run by the Camogie Association. Helping out is a great way to interact with other parents and to get involved in your daughters future in camogie. If you are interested please contact our secretary Veronica as soon as possible as there are courses coming up next few weeks. CAMOGIE: Cillard Medal presentation An evening of celebration gets underway at 8pm at Kate Browns, Ardfert this Friday 7th February for the Cillard medal presentation.
