KERRY are joint top of the Hurling League, Division 2A table with Antrim following their hard earned 2-11 to 0-14 win over Offaly at a well-attended Austin Stack Park last Sunday.

There will be a break this weekend so their next outing will be away to Meath on Saturday, February 15, 2pm. Further rounds: away to Wicklow on Saturday, February 22, 2pm and finishing with a home game against Antrim on Sunday,

March 2 at Austin Stack Park, 1.30p.m. The Division 2A Final is scheduled for Sunday, March 8.

Coiste na nÓg

DETAILS have been announced for the County Under 16 County Hurling League. Division 1 will comprise of six teams – Ballyduff, Ballyheigu­e, Crotta/Kilmoyley, Kenmare/Kilgarvan, Lixnaw and St Brendans. Four teams will play in Division 2 - Abbeydorne­y / Causeway, Rathmore, South Kerry and Tralee Parnells. The competitio­n dates are Sundays, March 22 & 29 and each Thursday during April with the Finals on the weekend of May 7/8.

The County Under 14 Féile na nGaeil groups are: Ballyduff, Kenmare / Kilgarvan, St Brendans, Tralee Parnells. B/C: Abbeydorne­y, Ballyheigu­e, Causeway, Crotta O’Neill’s, Firies, Kilmoyley, Lixnaw, Rathmore, South Kerry. The Feile dates are Saturday, April 25; Saturday, May 2, with the Finals on Monday, May 4.

Coaching

A FOUNDATION Level Coaching Course will take place on Saturday week, February 15 in St. Michaels

College, Listowel at 10am.

This course is aimed at Coaches involved with teams from Under 6 to 12 and the content will focus on the developing players at this age group. The Foundation Award is the introducto­ry award for coaches of Gaelic Games.

The course is four hours in duration and covers four key modules (Introducti­on to Games; Skill Developmen­t; Movement Skills and Coaching Children, Youths and Adults).

Referees

KERRY

will be running a referees training course on three Friday evenings in February at at Abbeydorne­y Sports Complex commencing on Friday, February 7 at 7.30pm

Clubs

TRALEE Parnells are currently recruiting Adult Players (over 18) for the new season. If you or anyone you know is interested in playing Senior hurling in Kerry (County League Divisiion 2 and Intermedia­te Championsh­ip), please contact traleeparn­ellsgaa@gmail. com.
