Finuge had gone 3pts to 1pt ahead. As already stated, the visitors were in squandermania form and at the other end the home team struck for goals in a 3-minute spell with Jason Wallace and Ricky Heffernan on target. Jack Keane did get a point back for Asdee leaving the half time score; Finuge 2-4 Asdee 0-2. On resumption conditions improved considerably with wind and rain disappearing and what the players had to endure in the first half at least they could very well enjoy for the second period. Still Finuge were always to the fore with Asdee hanging on gamely. A penalty awarded to the visitors was put well away by Darren Russell after 14 minutes and Eoin Tidings, (f) and Cyril Dineen put over points but was never enough as Finuge added their 3rd goal from Jason Wallace to wrap up matters.
