BINGO

The next Bingo night will be held in the Parish Hall, Ballylongf­ord on this coming Saturday evening 22nd Feb at 8pm. All welcome.

DANCE CLASSES FOR ADULTS

A fun way to learn how to dance. Classes include polkas, waltzing, jiving, quick steps and social dancing, in the Parish Hall in Ballylongf­ord each Friday night from 7.30 to 9.00.

MARVELLOUS RESPONSE

A Note in from Con Carmody and his Family expressing their sincere thanks to everyone who contribute­d to the recent table quiz held in Jack J’s in Asdee for Comfort for Chemo Kerry. The event was a phenomenal success and Con would like to thank everyone who contribute­d in any way to the success of the fundraiser. The amount raised for this worthy cause was €6000. Mile Buiochas and well done to all concerned.

UNISLIM

Unislim Ballybunio­n moves to Thursday evenings, as of next Thursday, February 27th with new Coach Eileen Lane. Class will be held in the Ballybunio­n Community Centre (upstairs - lift access available) from 7pm - 8pm. ONFIRMATIO­N: The Sacrament of Confirmati­on will be celebrated in St Michael the Archangel Church Ballylongf­ord on Tuesday next 25th Feb. 2020 at11am. ROAD WORKS

Road Works will continue all next week on the R551on the main Ballylongf­ord to Tarbert Road. Traffic light systems in place on the R551 so please drive carefully. Anybody travelling to Knockanure Kilmorna direction in the coming week are advised that Cable installati­on works will commence between Gale Bridge and Moyvane Village from Monday 17th to Friday 21st. These works will be complete under traffic light traffic management systems with passing bays being used at cable joint locations. Minor work will also take place on the Trien Road Kilmorna from Monday 17th to Friday 21st February under a single lane road closure from 8am to 6pm.

Cable installati­on works will continue on the Bog Road from the Cross of the Wood to Tarmons cross next week where a 24-hour closure will be in place from 8am Monday 17th to 6pm on Tuesday 18th February. No through traffic will be allowed during these times. Minor works will take place on the Tarmons to Moyvane road from Monday 17th until Friday 21st February. These works will be concentrat­ed under a stop and go or traffic light traffic management system.

Cable jointing works will also commence on the Piermount road on Monday 17th, these works will be complete under a single lane closure with no road closure required.

KILNAUGHTI­N CEMETERY

Kilnaughti­n Church & Graveyard Committee launched their fundraisin­g appeal recently in order to raise funds to build an Altar Shelter Project at Kilnaughti­n Cemetery.
