Tourism experts to address industry on spending habits
AIB & Tralee Chamber join forces for ‘vital’ seminar
KERRY’S tourism, retail and hospitality operators are urged to attend a forthcoming event aiming to arm them with all the information they need to make the coming year one of greater growth than ever.
AIB and Tralee Chamber Alliance join forces to bring a raft of leading experts, from within the bank and far beyond, to the Ballygarry House Hotel on Monday next, March 9, from 6.30pm.
They arrive laden with vital information on the latest in spending trends across each of the sectors.
It’s data businesses can’t really afford to miss, and which could make all the difference when it comes to strategising for growth into 2020, organiser and Tralee AIB manager Stephen Stack told The Kerryman.
“This event marks a great opportunity in terms of forward planning for business, with some brilliant speakers lined up and a trove of rich data on spending habits to be revealed at it,” Mr Stack said.
“We would really urge everyone in the retail and tourism sectors to come along to this not-to-be-missed information event.”
Among the keynote speakers lined up are AIB’s Head of Hospitality and Tourism David McCarthy; AIB Group Chief Executive, Retail Excellence, David Fitzsimons and IT Tralee lecturer in Event Management and Tourism Feargus Dunne.
Fouding director of Limerick-based The Tourism Space Tina O’Dwyer will officiate as MC at the event, in another much-anticipated presence given her expertise in the area.
A plethora of hugely experienced speakers will also makeup a special panel on the night – including CEO of the Rose of Tralee, Anthony O’Gara; CEO of Kerry Airport, John Mulhern; Wild Atlantic Way Team Manager with Fáilte Ireland Josephine O’Driscoll; Paul O’Neill of the O’Donoghue Ring Group and former Chair of the Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce; and co-owner of Weardrobe Boutique Sandra Rusk. Meanwhile, Managing Director of the Garvey Group and President of the Tralee Chamber Alliance Kevin McCarthy will deliver the closing address.
A free event, it will open with a networking opportunity from 6.30pm until the speeches commence at 7pm; with proceedings to finish by 8.45pm.
