KCB members enjoy mystery tour
THE Kerry Convention Bureau (KCB) organised a memorable ‘Mystery Tour’ for its members recently in what can best be described as a perfect team bonding exercise.
The occasion was made all the more significant given that sites around Kerry were explored on an afternoon of new experiences, meaningful activities, networking and fun.
Representatives from over fifteen member organisations boarded a bus in Killarney and set off for an unknown destination.
A foraging session in Ballyseedy Woods served as a precursor to a visit to The Rose Hotel where an opportunity to give back to the local community through participation in Corporate Social Responsibility opportunities took place, including making over 200 sandwiches for Tralee Soup Kitchen.
KCB members were then joined by representatives from industry partners; Sam Johnston from Fáilte Ireland, John Griffin from Kerry County Council and Arthur McGauran, on behalf of the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE).
Events worth €212million to the Irish economy have been secured by Fáilte Ireland’s Business Tourism and Events team in 2019 alone.
And speaking at the event, KCB Manager, Becky Hargrove, said she was delighted to see such a strong turnout at the event and welcomed the key industry partners from Failte Ireland and SITE to Kerry.
“We value the ongoing commitments and supports being given by Failte Ireland,” she said.
“Growing business tourism for the region and looking forward to continuing to work in partnership with them and our members to increase awareness of Kerry as a top destination is key, as is attracting international meetings and incentives to Kerry.”
