Lynch moves a step closer to All-Ireland handball 40x20 glory

KERRY’S Dominick Lynch moved a step closer to All Ireland glory when he defeated Patrick Function from Kilkenny in the All-Ireland 40x20 Senior Singles Last 16. Despite playing some attractive handball, Lynch lost the opening game 15-21.
Lynch improved dramatically in the remaining games winning the second game 21-10 and the third game 21-12. He now plays Robbie McCarthy from Westmeath next Saturday in the quarter final of the competition.
FIXTURES
In the Munster 40x20 Over 35 B Doubles quarter final Danny Riordan (Ballymacelligott) and Clive Counihan (Ballymacelligott) will play Ray Griffin and Niall Delaney (Cork) on Wednesday at 7.30pm in Boherbue, Co. Cork.
In an exciting and eagerly awaited Munster 40x20 Intermediate Doubles semi final Jack O’Shea (Glenbeigh) and Rory O’Connor (Glenbeigh) will play Niall Bolton and Cathal Hannon (Clare) on Saturday at 3pm in Cappagh, Co. Limerick.
The Munster Juvenile Under-12 and Under-13 Singles and Doubles championships take place next Sunday in Clooney and Newmarket on Fergus in Co. Clare. Glenbeigh players Aidan Sheehan, Lucas Riordan and Roisin King will represent Kerry at the championships.
In the Munster 40x20 Silver Master B Doubles quarter final John Clifford and Brian McEvoy (Kerry) will play Enda Ahern and Rory O’Sullivan (Cork) on Saturday in Boherbue, Co. Cork.

In Munster 40x20 Junior B Doubles quarter final Tommy Quirke (Glenbeigh) and Jason McKenna (Glenbeigh) lost to Jerry Foley and Niall Quinn (Tipperary) 21-14 and 21-10.
