Plenty of action across cups

UNDER 10 CUP AND SHIELDS

THE action in the Under 10 Cup and Shields continued this week with Killarney Celtic narrowly defeating Ballyhar Dynamos in both sections under lights at Celtic Park.

On Saturday in the Cup Groups there were wins for Listowel Celtic and Fenit in Group 1, Mastergeeh­a in Group 2 and Killarney Celtic and Ballyhar Dynamos in Group 3. In the Shield it was Fenit who won in Group 1, Inter Kenmare in Group 2 and The Park and Tralee Dynamos in Group 3.

JOHN MURPHY UNDER 12 CUP Shield

THERE were five games in the last sixteen of the shield. Goals from James O’Meara and Killian Fitzgerald gave MEK Galaxy B a 2-1 win over Killarney Celtic B. Seán Collins got the Celtic goal with all the scores coming in the second half.

Two goals from Jack Daly and Damola Idowu and one each from Seán Óg O’Connor, Conor O’Regan and Shane O’Donovan saw the Park C progress against Castleisla­nd B.

Roan Guerin put Mastergeeh­a C 1-0 up after 10 minutes away to Camp Juniors B, but the home side were level before halftime and went on to win 3-1 thanks to goals from Jack Doyle (2) and David O’Donnell.

Pádraig Manning put Dingle Bay Rovers 1-0 up at home to Ballyhar Dynamos B. Harry O’Connor levelled for Ballyhar and in extra time O’Connor got a second and Conrad Long wrapped up the Ballyhar win.

Tiernan O’Keeffe (2), Danny Gaza, Cillian O’Brien and Roman Carey-MacGibney were on the score sheet as Fenit B progressed over Killorglin B.

In the Preliminar­y game the Park B won away at Mastergeeh­a B thanks to two goals from Marciej Kubic and one from Mohab Abdalrazek.

In Round 1 LB Rovers won away at Ballyheige who had Mathew O’Sullivan and Xvisier on the mark. For LB JJ O’Rourke hit a hat-trick with Alex O’Carroll getting the other goal. Tralee Dynamos B are also through on a 3-0 score line over Inter Kenmare B.

GOALS in either half from Dylan Counihan and Cian Hayes saw Killorglin B defeat Killarney Athletic C 2-0.

TOM HAYES UNDER 14 CUP Shield

IN Round 1 of the Dingle Bay Rovers A were a little too strong for Masrtergee­ha B. Goals from Dingle Bay came from Joe Connor, Tadgh Cahill, James Hoare, Sean Roche and Paudie Fitzgerald. Killorglin B are also through defeating LB Rovers 3-0.

A round ahead and in the quarter-finals the Park got past Killarney Celtic B to go into the hat for the next round.

Shield UNDER 15 CUP

TRALEE Dynamos won away at Killarney Celtic B. The goals came from Paddy McMahon, Dylan Buckley, Stephen Barrett, CJ Daniels and Jamie O’Shea.
