A Notice from Cllr Michael Foley wishing to invite everybody to A Public Meeting in regards putting in place a Playground for the Children of the Community, this meeting will be held in the Parish Hall on Saturday 7th March at 7.45pm approx (After Mass). This is a public Meeting and everybody is welcome to attend please.

TIDY TOWNS

In last week’s edition of these notes due to a typing error we omitted (not intentiona­lly) our own Cllr Michael Foley who also gave financial assistance through his Kerry County Council allocation to Our Tidy Towns programme for the coming year. For this we are extremely grateful and greatly appreciate any assistance in any shape, make or form to help us improve the beauty and splendour of the Community. CHURCH GATE COLLECTION

The North Kerry Eagles Special Olympics Club wish to thank everyone who contribute­d to their recent church gate collection. The sum raised was €407.73 at Ballylongf­ord and €322.27 at Asdee.

DANCE CLASSES

Class will be held in the Ballybunio­n Community Centre (upstairs - lift access available) from 7pm - 8pm. Ash Wednesday (Today) Wednesday 26th February marks the beginning of Lent, it is a day of fast and abstinence Mass in St. Mary’s Asdee will be at 10am, St Mary’s Tarbert at 6pm and in St. Michael’s Ballylongf­ord at 7pm.

COMMUNITY CONCERT

A Fundraisin­g Community Concert will take place on Sunday March 15th at 7.30pm in St. Mary’s Church Tarbert. The Ard Chúram Community Choir with Musical Director Mary Culloty O’Sullivan will be joined on the evening by the Choir of Tarbert’s Primary School under Musical Director Meabh Lawlee for an evening of seasonal favourites. Tickets will be on sale from the 1st March at €10 per ticket that includes a cupán tae, caint, caife agus craic, in the Community Centre afterwards.

Proceeds from the Concert will be split 50/50 with St Mary’s Church Tarbert and the Ard Chúram Day-Care Centre, Listowel.

ROAD WORKS

Road Works will continue all this coming week on the Bog line Road between the Cross of the Wood and the Main Tarbert/ Listowel Road (Mangan’s Cross) where a Traffic light systems in place. Road Closure will take place on the Moyvane/Tarbert Road all this coming week.

Access will be maintained for residents affected by the closure, but there will be no through traffic. These will be 24-hour closures from 8am on Monday until 8pm on Friday 28thFeb. The roads will be open at weekends.
