1. NIGHT AT THE OSKARS IN LISTOWEL

IN an event that organisers are saying will be one of the biggest events in the town in quite some time, Listowel Celtic will hold their ‘Night at the Oskars’ fundraiser in the Listowel Community Centre on Saturday Februatry 29.

The show will kick off at 8pm on the night and tickets for this great night will cost just €25.

2. ROSE HOTEL TO HOST MS WELLNESS EVENT

THE Rose Hotel will play host to the first ever MS selfcare seminar in Kerry on Saturday, February 29.

The Kerry Multiple Sclerosis Wellness Event will take a holistic approach to empowering attendees to manage their care by focusing on exercise, nutrition and mindset.

The event will take place in The Rose Hotel from 10:30am – 3pm on Saturday, February 29.

3. NORTH KERRY HARRIERS HUNTBALL

THE North Kerry Harriers Huntball will take place at the Listowel Arms Hotel on Saturday February 29 at 7pm sharp.

Entertainm­ent will be provided by ‘The Bansha Boys’. Always a night filled with food, drink, dancing & unrivalled entertainm­ent with special spot prizes on the night.

4. TINA TURNER TRIBUTE SHOW IN INEC

TOTALLY Tina, the UK’s official number one Tina Turner tribute comes to the Gleneagle INEC Arena on March 6.

It’s been the UK’s official number one Tina Turner tribute for the past six years with a Lifetime Achievemen­t Award under its belt and a hectic, fast-growing gig schedule right across the UK and into Europe to boot.

There’s plenty of audience engagement and post-show ‘meet and greets’ too, making the Show more personal. Tickets from €25 available from the INEC website.

5. MOYVANE CHURCH TO HOLD CONCERT

MUSICIANS Liam O’Connor and Brian Kennedy will be taking to the stage in Moyvane Church on Tuesday March 10 at 8pm; the concert is being organised by Fr Kevin McNamara and will act as a fundraiser for the church.

Tickets will cost €25 and are available by contacting the parish office on 068 493 08.

6. CAHERLEAHE­EN NS TO HOST FUNDRAISER

MARCH 13 will see Caherleahe­en

NS and the Parent’s Associatio­n hosting their ‘Gourmet Spring Grill Fundraiser’ in the Ballygarry House Hotel Pavilion.

The night will be a fundraiser for the Hugh’s House charity -a charity that provides free accomodati­on for the families of chidren requiring long term hospital stay.

Drinks reception at 7:30pm followed by a BBQ.

7. NIGHT OF FOOD, FASHION & FUN IN BALLYGARRY

BALLYGARRY House Hotel will host a night of fun, food and fashion on Saturday March 21.

After a sold out event back in October, Helen Quealy Murphy of Daily Diva and Stuart Montgomery of Stuart’s Select Style will be returning once more for another round.

The drinks reception begins at 7.30pm with the show starting at 8pm.

8. CH TO HOLD A COFFEE MORNING WITH A DIFFERENCE

CH in Tralee have announced that they will be hosting a coffee morning in aid of Recovery Haven in Tralee on Saturday March 7 at 11am.

Billed as a coffee morning with a difference, experts from across a number of fields - including skin care, bone health and eye care will be on hand to offer tips.

9. THE FIELD TO BE STAGED IN SIAMSA TÍRE

THE story of the hardened Irish farmer “Bull” McCabe and his love for the land he rents comes to Siamsa Tíre early next month.

A classic in every sense of the word, this play by the late, great John B Keane will be staged in the iconic Tralee Theatre on March 5, 6 and 7.

Tickets are €19.

10. GET EXERCISING THIS WEEKEND WITH PARKRUN

WHY not try to head down to take part in one of the many parkruns taking place around Kerry at the weekends? There are five parkruns in Kerry: Tralee, Killarney, Listowel, Inch Beach and the Tralee junior parkrun.

These free 5km events are run every weekend by volunteers and they have been proven to be extremely popular in improving both physical and mental health.

The Tralee. Listowel and Killarney parkruns are held every Saturday morning from 9:30am onwards while the Tralee Junior parkrun takes place on Sunday at 9:30am - these 2km events are aged for children from 4-14 years old.

People can register and print off their run barcodes at parkrun. ie.
