COVID-19 VIRUS

Due to the Coronaviru­s, activities and gatherings in the parish have been postponed or cancelled these include public masses in both churches, schools, all sporting activities, card playing and CPR training course. It is hoped that with the co-operation of all, the virus will be restricted and we’ll be back to normal in the not too distant future. Keep an eye out for the elderly and people living alone. The evenings are brighter and the weather is improving slowly, so we’ll be able to get out and do a bit of walking or gardening in the meantime.

TEAMS - Prior to the Suspension of sporting activities our U14s hosted Killorgin FC in the u14 shield at Murt Scott Park. We led 1-0 at half time with a cracking team goal scored by Fionn Coleman, the visitors scored 4 in the second half while we hit the woodwork. Best of luck to Killorglin in the semi final. Rian Brosnan, Luke Henderson, Robert Kelly and Colm o Riordan put in excellent displays on the evening.

Our Youth fixture at home to Killarney Athletic was postponed due the Corona Virus situation.

Our seniors have five league games remaining and a reseve cup run and the club are hoping like all the nation that we can get over virus issue and return to field, team activity and community social interactio­n.

CPR COURSE

The CPR course run by the Irish Heart Foundation which was to be held on Saturday 28th March at the Marian Hall, Firies has also been postponed until a further date. matches and training at Club, school and County level across all grades and codes until March 29 inclusive.

CLUB LOTTO
