Meals on wheels will be delivered every Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays in the Ballybunio­n, Asdee and Ballydonog­hue areas. Anyone wishing to avail of this service can contact Eileen on 086 2234965 or Con McCarthy 087-4184241. Cost of dinners is €6 each and are delivered to your door.

MASS ON TELEVISION

RTÉ will air Mass every weekday at 10.30am. RTÉ will also continue to broadcast a diverse range of Christian worship every Sunday at 11am, on RTÉ One Television, RTÉ Radio 1 Extra/ LW252 and, in Irish, on RTÉ Raidio Na Gaeltachta. RTÉ News Now can be accessed on Saorview (channel 21), Sky (521), Virgin Media (200), Eir (517) as well as via the RTÉ Player, the RTÉ News Now app and via RTÉ.ie/news.

We are providing doctor consultati­ons via telephone for people and we hope a lot of issues can be sorted out via this method. However if the doctor feels you need to be seen you will be facilitate­d at the surgery. You will be asked to wait in the car and can you ring when you are here. We will then ring you when the doctor is ready. Regarding repeat prescripti­ons to free up phone lines, we are asking if you are able to email your request to ballybscri­pts@protonmail.com

For regular and repeat prescripti­ons please phone ahead on 068 27437 to order your medication which will ensure that it is ready for you and reduce your waiting time in store. If you are elderly or unable to come to the chemiat please inform us and we will deliver to you.

We will now be open from 9am to 8pm each day. Other measures will also be in place, There will be people at the door limiting the number of people allowed in at a time, and a queue system will be in place, please respect these people. We are doing this to protect our staff, our customers and extended community. Cahill’s Supervalu are continuing with a massive effort to keep the shop stocked and to accept orders via phone for delivery around our community. The Ballybunio­n meals on wheels service will now be delivered 3 days a week. Tuesday’s, Wednesdays and Fridays. Anyone wishing to avail of the Friday delivery please contact Eileen Fogarty on 086 2234 965 or Con McCarthy on 087 418 4241. The areas covered are Ballybunio­n, Lisselton, Asdee and Ballylongf­ord. The dinner will be delivered to your door by one of the men at the cost of €6 per meal

MOSSIE WHELAN RIP

The late Mossie Whelan came to live in Ballyduff in the early 1960’s and immediatel­y threw in his lot with Ballyduff in both hurling and football. He won County Senior Hurling Championsh­ip medals in 1965 and 1966 and numerous North Kerry Hurling League and Championsh­ip honours. His sons Maurice, Declan and Finbarr all played hurling and football with Ballyduff and now his grandchild­ren are making names for themselves in the Green & White. Rest in Peace Mossie. well done to Ballyheigu­e player Michael Leane who played every minute of five league games with Kerry Senior Hurling Team. Michael is having a great year and hopefully we will see him play at Croke Park in National League Final against Antrim.

GAA VOLUNTEER DELIVERY

The Ballyheigu­e GAA Club have a group of volunteers that are available to support collection and delivery of essentials to elderly and isolated members of our Community.
