MOSSIE WHELAN RIP
The late Mossie Whelan came to live in Ballyduff in the early 1960’s and immediately threw in his lot with Ballyduff in both hurling and football. He won County Senior Hurling Championship medals in 1965 and 1966 and numerous North Kerry Hurling League and Championship honours. His sons Maurice, Declan and Finbarr all played hurling and football with Ballyduff and now his grandchildren are making names for themselves in the Green & White. Rest in Peace Mossie. well done to Ballyheigue player Michael Leane who played every minute of five league games with Kerry Senior Hurling Team. Michael is having a great year and hopefully we will see him play at Croke Park in National League Final against Antrim.
