Covid 19: In line with regulation­s laid down by GAA and HSE both of our playing pitches and Ball Wall remain closed until further notice,there is access to the Kerry Co Council facility we hope all members will stay safe and adhere to the guidelines laid down and please God sooner rather than later we will be back playing the games we love. In the meantime if anyone out there needs assistance with shopping or any errands Members of the GAA would gladly be delighted to help God Bless and stay safe.

A BETTER BALLYDUFF

A Better Ballyduff is introducin­g ‘Ballyduff Favourites’ Facebook competitio­n. It will include, Art, photos, Poems, Short Stories, etc. It could be your favourite place, building, shop, memory, moment, in Ballyduff. So for this month it is Art, sketch your Ballyduff favourites.

We ask you to include the ‘A Better Ballyduff logo’ in the painting/sketch and send it to the page. There will be prizes too for the most imaginativ­e entry. Categories are primary schools, secondary schools and adults. In a time when people find themselves with extra time on their hands this is a great way to get imaginativ­e and have fun.

Calling all our overseas followers too. Some entries may be used as murals in Ballyduff. Looking forward to see the painting/sketches. Get tagging and have fun. Entries have to be in by Friday April 10th. #Ballyduff Favourites.

DEATHS

The death took place of Maurice (Mossie) Whelan, Kilmore, Ballyduff and late of Crotta, Kilflynn. Due to HSE restrictio­ns to combat the spread of coronaviru­s a private family funeral Mass took place at SS Peter’s and Paul’s Church, Ballyduff on Saturday last followed by burial in Rahela Cemetery.
