secured promotion by a single point. Under O’Connell they also reached the Greyhound Bar Cup Final in 1995 but an injury ravaged team was defeated by Listowel Celtic. Worse was to follow the same season as they were relegated after a play off against Rattoo Rovers.

In 1997/98 under new manager Johnny O’Sullivan they won the Reserve Cup for the very first time in the club’s history defeating Camp United in the final. It was the club’s first senior trophy in 20 years.

With O’Sullivan again at the helm the next season it brought more success being promoted back to the top flight of Kerry soccer and went through the entire 18 league games undefeated.

They also reached the quarter-final of the Castle Bar Cup the semi final of the Reserve Cup and were in the Greyhound Bar Cup Final but lost out to Lisselton Rovers with a controversial goal.

In 2000 under the management duo of Michael Brosnan and JJ Reidy they reached the Kerry area Final of the Munster Junior Cup but were well defeated by an excellent Park side. Three seasons passed by before they reached another final.

Still under Brosnan and Reidy they reached the Reserve Cup

Final but were defeated by Inter Kenmare and this was followed by relegation in 2004. Under the same management in 2005 they regained their Premier League Status. They went on to reach the Celsius Cup Final but were defeated by Park B.

After this period the club have held their Premier status every season. In 2006 Edmond Hartnett took over the challenge of manager and a big plus for him was that the club had formed a B team again in 2009 under manager John Coffey and a good few players were coming through.

They went on to reach the Kerry Final of the Munster Junior Cup but lost to a very strong Tralee Dynamos side who went on to play in the League of Ireland the following year. Castleisland also reached the semi-final again the following season.

However, they did get their hand in silverware before the end of the season when they won the Castle Bar Cup for the first time in their history defeating Killorglin in the final. They also finished the league in third place their highest position for many a year.

While no silverware arrived in 2010 they qualified for the Open Draw in the FAI Junior Cup for the first time but lost to Kilmallock in a tight game in Limerick. In 2011
