DEATH

The death has occurred of Patrick Benny McDonnell, (Butcher), Main Street, Ballyheigu­e, unexpected­ly on the 1st June 2020 in the loving care of his family. May he rest in peace. Deeply regretted by his loving family - wife Mary, son John, brother Kerry, sisters Mary and Ann, brothers-in-law, sister-inlaw, nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

A private family funeral took place on Thursday, 4th June in St. Mary’s Church, Ballyheigu­e and burial afterwards to St. Mary’s New Cemetery. A remembranc­e mass will take place for Benny at a later date

Thank you to everyone who supported our beach clean-up this morning. Thanks to your hard work and community spirit, we managed to remove an enormous amount of rubbish from our beach. Special thanks to Cathal O’Regan for his quad and to Moriartys Centra for providing the treats.

We are also collecting and returning laundry and helping with shopping orders etc. to ensure our most vulnerable can isolate and keep safe in their own homes.
