GAA CLUB MEMBERSHIP

Club activity this year until now has been very restricted but with the recent Croke park announcement, it means there will be some form of activity for the club. This is great news for hurling followers but of course with this upcoming activity comes additional expense. In order to cover training and related costs it is now urgent for club membership to be collected before the end of June. But with the shorter season, the club is reducing the cost of social membership from €30 to €20 while players membership is being reduced from €60 to €50. Over the coming weeks, the club will make arrangements for the distribution of membership cards. Your continued support is appreciated.

FÉILE NA GAEL

This would have been the 50th year of the Féile na Gael competition which was first held in 1971, hosted by Tipperary. Kilmoyley is the most successful team in Kerry in this event with 13 titles, the first coming in 1974 with two All-Irelands in 1987 and 1991.

The club continues to gather the memories, photos and stories of players, mentors and anyone involved in those victories. It will be kept as an archive of this wonderful competition which has become so fond to the hurling hurling fraternity in the county. Further details will be included on the clubs facebook page so look out for further details or contact club PRO Ian Brick for details.
