Duagh GAA lotto resumed on Monday June 22nd and the jackpot of 2200 was won.
Two winners shared the jackpot Numbers drawn 4,7,11,19. Congratulations to Patrick Carroll, Knockadireen and Julie Murphy, c/o Kostal.
Online lotto is being finalised and that should be operational in the next 2 weeks.
The Duagh GAA lotto may be purchased then on the Duagh GAA website: duaghgaa.ie The plumbing and painting in GAA dressing rooms is now upgraded and all will be ready for the reopening of the field. From June 29th allow contact training and challenge games for all.
DEATHS
Sincere sympathy is extended to the wife, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, all family members, relatives and friends of the late Gerard O’Connor, Springmount who died unexpectedly last week. Burial was in Springmount Cemetery on Sat, June 27th after Requiem Mass. features another local hero, Kilmoyley’s camogie star Jessica Fitzell.
Jessica was a double All-Ireland winner in 2019 with Kerry and Clanmaurice and her success has brought her and camogie in Kerry deserved recognition. The mural of Jessica in possession of the ball, ready to turn as she eyes up her options is described by O’Donnell in his Instagram post as ‘Celebrating our local heroes: Jessica Fitzell, camogie extraordinaire’. BEREAVEMENT - Sympathies are extended to the Murphy family Lahardane, Ballybunion following the sad passing of Brendan Murphy, Ballybunion and formerly Ballyhemican. Brendan played for our club in his younger days following in the footsteps of his father Paddy who was part of our 1948 County Championship winning team. The funeral mass took place on Tuesday in St. John’s Church Ballybunion with burial after in Kilehenny graveyard Ballybunion.Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
PITCH RE-OPENING - It is wonderful to see Páirc Naomh Eirc welcoming players and officials once more, albeit with certain restrictions following the easing of Covid-19 restrictions. The club has followed the GAA’s recommendations and taken every necessary precaution to make the return to playing safe for everyone. It is so important that all players, parents and officials follow these guidelines to ensure everyone can continue to use the facilities safely.
COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS - Now that our GAA season is starting to open up the following are the proposed Hurling fixtures as outlined by the County Board. Senior, Minor and Intermediate County Championships are knockout competitions with result on the day. The senior county final is due to take place on September 19th or 20th.The North Kerry Senior Championship will have a losers round. The draw for the Senior County Championship was made live on Radio Kerry on Monday.

CILLARDCAMOGIE
The club is holding a registration night this Thursday 2nd July from 7:30 to 9pm in the Community Care Centre, Kilmoyley. All the necessary precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of everyone on the night. Hand sanitisers will be available on arrival and exit. If anybody attending wants to wear a mask please feel free to do so but this is optional.
