County Strokeplay to get going this weekend

FOLLOWING Monday night’s Kerry County Board meeting the following was decided in relation to our County Strokeplay events due for the weekend after next (July 26).

The Under 16 event will be in Deerpark on Saturday, July 25 at a time TBC. All Adult events will be in Tralee on Sunday, July 26 in the following order: (Times subject to change depending on entry): Junior Gents 8am, Intermediate Gents 11am and Senior Gents & Ladies 2pm.

Entry forms will be emailed to clubs this week along with guidelines for entry. Entry fee €10 adults and €5 Under 16s. All entries must be through club and must be paid to County Board in advance along with this year’s affiliation fee for those clubs who are still to pay it.

Closing Date for entries is Wednesday, July 22. Adult entries must be sent by clubs via email to Competition Secretary Willie John Buckley. Email Address will be on form. Under 16 entries can be emailed by clubs to County Secretary Jason O’Connor by the same date (July 22) in advance of their event.

Time sheets will be distributed in advance of play on both days. We ask all clubs to ensure all players they enter are registered with Pitch & Putt Ireland in advance of next Wednesday’s closing date.

These will be checked upon receipt of entries. Remember public health guidelines at all times in entering in advance and playing on the day. Further info will follow in due course.
