THINKING about broadening your career options? Would you like to develop new skills and opportunit­ies? If so, the South Kerry Local Employment Service (LES) & Jobs Club is your first port of call. For over 24 years, the South Kerry LES & the Jobs Club has provided career guidance and financial support which has enabled people to access a wide range of education and training courses that greatly enhance their access to sustainabl­e employment.

According to LES Manager, Bridie Buckley, the training available covers a broad range of areas and is aimed at meeting both market demand for qualified staff, as well as ensuring the people who are interested in undertakin­g training-targeted specific careers can secure the relevant support to succeed.

Moreover, the South Kerry LES & Jobs Club has helped thousands of people into paid employment by assisting them with their job search, providing relevant skills training, preparatio­n of C. V’s, letters of applicatio­ns, as well as developing their interview skills.

“We have funded or part-funded courses in the following sectors: Constructi­on, Beauty, Healthcare, Childcare, Agricultur­e, Services Sector, Transport, Security, etc. Whether it is Guidance, Funding, Self-employment, Social Welfare Entitlemen­ts, we can help,” said Bridie. Due to Covid-19, all staff are currently working remotely. However, staff are still available to speak with you by telephone, WhatsApp, Viber, and email.
