LOTTO: Our club Lotto is suspended for the time being. Any tickets already purchased will be included in the next draw. Six and 12 month tickets will be valid from the date of the next draw. AGM: Out AGM took place Sunday 10th January via Zoom. Thanks to everyone who dialled and participat­ed in discussion­s. We are still seeking a new Chairperso­n and Assistant Secretary; it is important for our club that these positions are filled. Queries can be made to any of our club officers. Volunteers: We are seeking volunteers to help run our club and bring new ideas for the future. The Annual General Meeting of the Ballyduff GAA Club took place on Friday night last through Microsoft Team. Club Secretary Michael Hussey co-ordinated the meeting with his usual efficiency. Chairman Liam Ross welcomed everyone to this historic meeting in these strange times. In a very comprehens­ive report Michael Hussey outlined the way the season developed and thanked everyone, Coaches, selectors, Covid-19 Officers, Field Officers and all the other groups using the facilities for their cooperatio­n in what was a difficult period. Treasurer Noel Brown gave a very detailed Treasurers Report in which he outlined the difficulti­es facing Clubs with limited opportunit­ies of fundraisin­g. He thanked everyone who contribute­d to the finances, lotto ticket sellers, lotto co-ordinator Mary O’Sullivan. He also had a word of thanks to those who subscribed to fund raising for the mower he concluded by saying the Club would have to find alternativ­e ways of funding going forward. Chairman Liam Ross welcomed everyone and thanked all who had helped us through a difficult year he said the highlight of the year was no doubt the Minors winning the County Minor Hurling Championsh­ip after an absence of 17 years. He paid tribute to the backroom team of William Quinlan, John Hennessy, Jerry Moriarty and Patrick Quinlan for their work with the team over the years which culminated with victory in the County Final v Ballyheigu­e.

He also had words of thanks to all the Coaches, Selectors and managers for their efforts and wished them all well in the future. In conclusion he wished to sympathise with all those who lost loved ones during the year and hoped that Mass would be offered for the repose of their souls in the near future. Registrars: Paudie County plus one other to be appointed Executive Committee: To be finalised at first meeting. Management Teams: will be ratified at that same meeting which will be held in early February.
