ANNASCAUL
ANNASCAULTIDYTOWNS
Reaching out to the community of Annascaul to form a new Annascaul Tidy Towns committee. If you have a special interest in our rivers, biodiversity, our village and have a little time to spare, come and join Annascaul Tidy Towns. It would be ideal to have two volunteers from different areas eg. Gurteens North, Church ave, Brackloon, Main Street, Ardrinane, etc. If interested just send an email to annascaultidytown@gmail.com
ANNASCAULPLAYGROUND
We are happy to confirm that the Playground Committee has finalised its job. The cost of the building the playground, including all ancillary work, such as groundworks, came to nearly €123,000, from which a grant of €87,500 was received from LEADER and €34,000 was raised from the community. Our loan of €87,500, with additional interest of €972.00, was paid off to Clann Credo in December, once we received our grant funding, and the remaining balance of €391 has been donated to Scoil Bhreac Chluain, Annascaul.
The playground has been handed over to Kerry County Council and the playground committee has now ceased.
We would like to thank everyone for the immeasurable support, especially the volunteers who joined us with fundraising, the volunteers who cleared, prepared and finished the site, and all the businesses who so generously donated funds to the cause - a true community spirit was shown.
