Connie O‚sullivan Cooper, Cushinstow­n, Killucan, Co. Westmeath who died on Sunday 19th February and was buried in Rathwire Cemetery, Co. Westmeath after Requiem Mass in St. Joseph‚s Church Rathwire on Wednesday 22nd February. To his family, relatives and friends, we extend our sympathy.

Stephen Buckley, Slaheny Kilgarvan who died on Wednesday 22nd February after a short illness at the Mercy Hospital, Co. Cork. After Requiem Mass in St. Patrick‚s Church, Kilgarvan, Stephan was buried in the local cemetery. To his immediate family, relatives, friends and neighbours we extend our deepest sympathy.

The first round of the Spillane Cup was played in Dromore, Templenoe last Saturday. Kenmare led at half time by five points, Kenmare 1-6 to 0-5 for Kilgarvan. In the second half a fitter Kenmare team were better able to take their scores, increasing their lead to ten points, 1-13 to 0-6.
