ENTERPRISE Ireland have announced details of this years International Business Women’s Conference in conjunction with the Rose of Tralee Festival.

The Conference, organised in conjunction with AIB, will take place on Monday August 22 in the Brandon Hotel, Tralee.

Now in its second year, the event gathers leaders from across the business and entrepreneurial spectrum to celebrate the business achievements and success stories of women today.

This year’s conference theme is ‘The Changing Face of Success’ focussing on strong female role models leading by example and empowering women to fulfill their ambitions.

Several prominent women such as Eleanor McEvoy and Norah Casey from Dragons’ Den will share their experiences and insights on themes such as leadership and entrepreneurship.

Details of the event were announed by Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Mary Mitchell O’Connor.

“I am delighted that the International Business Women’s Conference is in its second year. This is a hugely important and inspiring event which brings together successful, inspirational female entrepreneurs. It is great to see the range and diversity of the speakers that will be attending,” said the minister

“Promoting the achievements of women actively encourages others to aim high and in turn creates a valuable contribution to both the economy and society. Creating the environment for more start-ups to develop and grow is a key priority for me and female entrepreneurs can play a major role in job creation,” she said.

Sponsored by AIB, the Department of the Diaspora and media partner Tatler, conference delegates will also hear from the Rose of Tralee, Elysha Brennan, as well as previous Roses including 2005 Rose of Tralee Dr Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin.

“Enterprise Ireland recognises the huge contribution of Irish women in business. Last year we invested in a record number of female-led start-up companies. This conference aims to inform and inspire women to embrace business opportunities, leverage the Irish global network and reach their full potential,” said EI CEO Julie Sinnamon.
