DAILY BUS SERVICE

Local Link Kerry is operated by Kerry Community Transport is operating 3 in bound and 2 outbound services to and from Tralee 6 days a week. The route is Currans, Currow, Kerry Airport, Farranfore, Firies to Tralee.

A bus will leave Currans Community Centre at 7.40am, 9.40am, and 4pm, and leave Currow Church Square at 7.50am, 9.50am and 4.10pm arriving at Manor Shopping Centre at 8.20am, 10.20am and 4.40pm.

Kerry University Hospital bus stop at 8.25am, 10.25am and 4.45pm.

IT South at 8.30am, 10.30am and 4.50pm

IT North 8.35am, 10.35am and 4.55pm

Tralee bus and train station 8.45am, 10.40am and 5pm.

For the return journey a bus will leave from outside Tralee Bus and Railway station at 3pm and 5.30pm, IT North at 3.05pm and 5.35pm.

Mary Daly is retiring as sacristan. I wish to thank her for her dedicated and faithful service to Currans Church and community during her years as sacristan.

COMMUNITY GAMES

Best of luck to Currow Currans u13 boys Community Games basketball team who take part in the Munster Finals in Limerick this weekend.

ALL-IRELAND CHAMPIONS

Congratula­tions to the Currow u14 boys and their mentors Frank Coffey, Anthony Fleming and James McCarthy on winning the Div 8 final of Feile Peil na nOg. They also have the distinctio­n to be the only club in Kerry to win an All-Ireland title in the entire competitio­n.

KILLEENTIE­RNA YOUTH CLUB

Killeentie­rna Youth Club: On Sunday last the Club’s U15 Mixed Basketball and U18 Indoor Soccer Teams took part in the Youth Work Ireland Youth Club’s All Ireland Finals. Our Boys missing a few players put on a great performanc­e in their Semi Final before loosing 3-0. The U18 Boys Team was: Paric O’Connor, David Riordan, Josh Horan and Tommy O’Regan. In The U15 Basketball Semi Final we had a 54 to 4 win over Courtnacud­dy Youth Club, and then we faced Criost Ri Youth Club from Donegal in the Final where our Boys and Girls put on a great performanc­e to Capture the Club’s 21st All Ireland Title with a 51 to 4 win over the Donegal Team. The Victorious Killeentie­rna Team was : Joyce O’Connor (Capt), Siobhain Brosnan, Emma O’Regan, Millie Luck, Donal Geaney, Gary O’Sullivan, Aaron Fleming, Padraig Fleming. Leaders Mike Cronin, Pat O’Sullivan and Moss Leane and Junior Leaders Aisling Moriarty, Fiona Nelligan, Johnathan Hilliard and Rachel O’Connor were in Charge for the weekend and coached the Teams.
