New Ssangyong Tivoli XLV for comfort and style

SSANGYONG Motors Ireland are proud to launch the new Tivoli XLV to the Irish market. An exciting addition to the Tivoli platform, the XLV is equipped with advanced technology and state-of-the-art features, which will accommodate the needs of individual lifestyles and allow drivers to enjoy life’s adventures in affordable comfort and style.

The new SsangYong Tivoli XLV has been named after the unique characteristics it offers to customers. A versatile and flexible SUV which adapts easily to the individual lifestyles of those who drive it demonstrating that practical, smart functionalities can be beautiful and exciting. Extended load space up to 720 litres, expansive room in the cabin enough to fit 5 tall adults and impressive additional features as standard are some of the way the new Tivoli XLV allows all drivers release their adventurous side.

Generously spacious leg, shoulder and head room in the cabin which comfortably fits five tall adults is among the key selling points of the Tivoli XLV which also features a lengthened body from behind the C pillar – an increase of 238mm over the existing Tivoli.

The e-XDi160 Euro 6 diesel engine produces 115ps/3,400 – 4,000rpm maximum power with 300Nm/1,500 – 2,500rpm, and with its fifth generation E-VGT turbocharger delivers a smooth, progressive and powerful driving experience. The 1.6 litre diesel engine achieves a CO2 emission level of just 117g/km (two-wheel drive, manual transmission with Stop/Start). Two transmissions are offered: a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic.

Passenger safety has been a top priority for the car, and comes with seven airbags including front, side and curtain airbags plus a driver’s knee airbag, multi-function ESP (Electronic Stability Program), Active Rollover Protection, Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist and ESS (Emergency Stop Signal), a tyre pressure monitoring system and a warning reminder on all five seat belt positions. LED daytime running lights and projection headlights are standard.

The SsangYong DNA is all about 4x4, and the Tivoli XLV reflects this philosophy by being available with an intelligent 4WD system. The electronically controlled on-demand system distributes power to front and rear drive shafts, and automatically adjusts to the road surface and driving conditions to optimise performance. The Tivoli XVL 4 4 features multi-link rear suspension for a comfortable drive on the road, and increased wheel articulation for optimum grip off-road.

For increased stability and reassurance, par- ticularly when driving on a hill or slope, the 4WD operates with Hill Start Assist which helps by delivering power to any wheels that are spinning. And for optimised braking performance, ESP and ABS controls the 4x4 system for greater safety.

The Tivoli XLV comes with a choice of six exterior colours - Flaming Red, Grand White, Silent Silver, Tonic Grey, Space Black and Dandy Blue - which can be further personalised through the addition of two-tone body and roof colours to ensure style and further individuality.

For the interior there’s the choice of either natural beige or black, and both colour ways can be teamed with Geonic-printed upholstry, or luxurious leather. A red leather interior is also available with special order.

The Tivoli XLV includes a comprehensive list of standard equipment – items that are often extra on other cars. There are heated front and rear seats and a digital-dual zone automatic air conditioning system.

A newly designed MP3 infotainment system and a 7” high-resolution screen providing Sat Nav( Mapping by Tom Tom), USB/AUX port enabling the streaming of content from external audio devices, Bluetooth hands-free, iPod and iPhone connection, all feature in this car. The rear camera view comes as Standard on the EL model.

The instrument cluster colour can be changed according to mood with a choice of six colours (red, blue, yellow, sky blue, white and black), and there is interior mood lighting to create a calming environment at night. as standard on the EL model.

The Tivoli XLV is also equipped with parking sensors to aid safe and convenient parking, rear on ES front and rear on EL one-touch triple indicator direction signalling, one-touch automatic windscreen wash/wipe, cruise control, rain sensing wipers, automatic headlight activation, and an electrochromic interior rearview mirror.

The Tivoli XLV is currently available in Ireland from June 2016. It will compete in the C-Segment crossover market and the price will start from €25,495 for the entry level diesel (ES).
