Stack Park to host pair of intriguing County SHC quarter-finals
ROUND 3 of the 2016 Garvey’ s Super va lu Kerry senior hurling championship will be played on this Sunday, July 24 with a double bill at Austin Stack Park.
Causeway take on Ballyduff at 1.45pm followed by the clash of Lixnaw and Kilmoyley at 3.30pm. If any of these games finish level they will go to a replay.
St Brendan’s and Abbeydorney will be seeded in the semi-finals draw against the winners of Sunday’s games. The semi-finals are fixed for Sunday, August 14.
Intermediate Championship
CAUSEWAY advanced to the final of the county intermediate championship with a 2-11 to 0-11 win over St Brendans, played at Abbeydorney on Sunday evening. They will meet either Dr Crokes or Kilmoyley, who were due to play their semi final on Tuesday evening, in the final.
Minor Leagues
CROTTA O’Neills are the 2016 Minor Hurling League Division 1A champions following a 3-18 to 2-16 victory over Lixnaw at Abbeydorney on Monday evening. The winners led by 1-14 to 1-8 at the break and Barry O’Mahony from Crotta was named as the Keanes Supervalu Killorglin Man of the Match.

Credit Union SHL
KILMOYLEY picked up four points in two back county league Division 1 games last week. They defeated Causeway by 0-15 to 0-5 and followed up with a 5-21 to 0-5 win over Crotta. The latter game also doubled up as the final of the 2015 North Kerry League.
B Championships
PREPARATIONS are underway by the Kerry minor and under 21 hurlers for their forthcoming All-Ireland ‘B’ championship quarter final fixtures.
The Minors will play Kildare on Monday, August 1 at Austin Stack Park while the Under 21s are at home to the All-Ireland ‘C’ competition winners on Saturday, August 6.
Hurling Cúl Camps 2016
THE 2016 Kellogg’s GAA Kerry hurling Cúl Camps continue on Monday next, July 25 with camps at both Ardfert and Fitzgerald Stadium.
Camps are open to both the experi- enced and the first time hurlers or camogie players. A loan of a hurley and helmet will be provided if necessary. Please visit www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/booking to book a child in online or alternatively a child can sign up on the first morning of the camp.
Cost is €55 per child with reductions for additional members of families. Camps are open to primary school children between 6 and 13 years of age. Mondays to Fridays, 10am – 2.30pm daily.
Forthcoming Kerry camps are at Abbeydorney (1 – 5 August), Crotta O’Neill’s - Dromakee (8 – 12 August) and Kilmoyley & Tralee Parnell’s - Caherslee (15 – 19 August).
