Our Under 13s: Our under 13s travelled to Connolly Park on Thursday. They won on a scoreline of 6.09 to 2.03. Thanks to Joe and Mike and all the parents who travelled. They are now through to county final as their opponents have conceded semi final.Mary Jo Curran: Rathmore travelled to Renard to play us on Monday evening. This was a thrilling encounter with the home side conceding most of the first half to Rathmore before turning on the style in the second half and getting a well deserved draw on a score of 5.10 to 3.16. Their next game is away to Na Gaeil.Senior Co. Championship: The seniors played Castleisland Desmonds on Saturday evening in Renard. Castleisland got off to the better start scoring three quick points before the home side got on the score board with the Mars Cronin lobbing the keeper with a brilliant goal. The opposition were guilty of a lot of misses but that was probably down to the brilliant defence led by county player Caroline Kelly and Sinead Sheehan at full back. Linda Cronin and Megan O Connell had their hands full in the middle section but worked hard winning ball, helping the defence and sending great ball into the full forward line. Two goals in each half off the boots of Deirdre Corridan and Mars Cronin set the home side up for a victory on a score of 4.07 to 1.11. This was a solid team performance from the home side especially as they lost Fiona Keating and Clodagh Quinlan before the game but their replacements more than coped with the challenge of county championship standard. Lisa O Sullivan had to come off with a back injury and we hope she will be back on the playing field very soon. Well done girls. Thanks to the Renard club for the use of their facilities, organising the scoreboard, Kevin for doing umpire and allowing us use the club rooms to provide refreshments for the players. CYCLE. We are organising a cycle on Sunday next starting at Coláiste na Sceilge at nine o clock. WE will be doing two routes, one short and one longer around the South Kerry area.
