We will be raffling of a cow box trailer valued at over €3000.We are doing serious upgrades to our field our car park and fencing all around the field. Tickets for the trailer are priced at €5 for 1 and €20 for a book of 5 will be holding our very successful yearly carnival wknd on the first weekend in September. COUNTY LEAGUE DIV 3: Gneeveguil­la entertaine­d Ardfert on Sunday in Co League Div3. Ardfert got off to a flyer of a start with two early scores from Shane Griffin and John Egan. Gneeveguil­la responded with a Mike Murphy long range effort a Fergus McAulliffe 45 and two points from Corneilus Buckley one from a free. Ardfert pulled one back but then gave away penalty when Padraig O’Sullivan was pulled down in the box. Corneilus Buckley took the penaly a rattled the back of the net Gneeveguil­la 1-04 Ardfert 0-03 after 15 minutes. Corneilus buckley then added two more and a Shane Crowley point from the wing looked to have Gneeveguil­la cruising. Ardfert fought back and kicked three unanswered points to leave the half time score Gneeveguil­la 1-09 Ardfert 0-06. Ardfert started the second half well with a John Egan free before Shane Griffin was fouled in the penalty box. Up stepped Bobby Regan to fire the ball past Patrick O’Riordan in the Gneeveguil­la goals leaving it Gneeveguil­la 1-09 Ardfert 1-07. A Corneilus Buckley free and a Mike B Murphy point settled Gneeveguil­la as they restored a four point lead with twenty minutes gone in the second half. Ardfert never gave up and an ball across the Gneeveguil­la square was met by Cian Hussey who squeezed the ball into the top left hand corner of the net bringing the teams level with two minutes left on the clock. Neither team looked like scoring after that and both teams had to settle for a draw Gneeveguil­la 1-13 Ardfert 2-09. Thanks to all those who attended the game to support our lads and well done to groundsmen and volunteers who had the pitch looking impeccable today. Gneeveguil­la are away to Beale on Friday in the next round of the Co League.
