MIKE MURPHY CYCLE

Registrati­on open for the cycle on Sept 10th, 2016 consisting of 2 routes-100km and 65km. Cycle Ireland Approved Event.

Entry fee €30 for Cycling Ireland members and €32 for non members. Cycle starts and finishes at Cahercivee­n Marina. Sign on 08.45 and roll out at 10am. Hot meal afterwards(hopefully barbeque).

All monies raised put towards a fund to build statue of the legendary cyclist-Mike “Iron-Man” Murphy.

WOMENS MINI MARATHON

The VHI womens mini marathon is done and dusted!. Thank you so much to everybody who made a donation to The Alzheimers Society of Ireland-€1,252.16 has been raised for an extremely important cause. Your generosity is much appreciate­d. From Kerry O’ Sullivan.

UNDER 12’S

Thanks to Gillian, Johnny & Anne for taking the St. Mary’s under 12 team to Fitzgerald Stadium on Wednesday last for a blitz and a tour of the stadium with Fionn Fitzgerald. The day was finished off in McDonalds !!!!! Everyone really enjoyed their day out.

The Helping Hand Charity Shop, East End, Cahersivee­n are looking for volunteers to help out in the charity shop. MENS SHED

Well done to the Mens Shed and Dermot Foley for making the beautiful flower boxes for the Tidy Towns which are on view next to the An Post building.

TIDY TOWNS

Judging for tidy towns will take place over the next few weeks. We appeal to everyone to look after their own property. Please feel free to join the tidy towns clean up each Thursday night from 7 to 8 pm. Meet at the Community Centre.
