LADIES CLUB OUTING

A final reminder, Scartaglin Ladies Club outing to the Beara Peninsula will take place on this Thursday July 28th.

This annual trip is always a most enjoyable occasion and given reasonable weather, this year’s location is a really scenic and beautiful area, so any ladies out there who might like a very pleasant day out are asked to contact Ellen on (087) 2025161 or Julanne on (087) 9126184, if they are interested in going on this outing.

CLOTHING COLLECTION

Don’t forget! Scartaglin Childcare Centre’s Clothing Collection day has been pencilled in for this Thursday July 28th, so anyone who wishes to dispose of clean unwanted clothes etc should bring them along to the centre prior to the above date. For further enquiries contact (066) 7147962.

GAA LOTTO DRAW

Scartaglin GAA Club’s next Lotto Draw will be on this Monday evening, August 1st (Bank Holiday), the venue is Flemings Bar and the Jackpot will be €5,800.

WORLD FIDDLE DAY

On Sunday evening next July 31st Peter Browne will broadcast highlights from the World Fiddle Day Concert which was held in Scartaglen Heritage Centre on Saturday May 21st You can listen to this music by tuning in to RTE Radio One on Sunday night next at 9pm when Peter will present his usual programme “THE ROLLING WAVE”

CEMETERY MASS

The Annual Open Air mass in Scartaglen Graveyard will be celebrated on Saturday morning August 27th at 10am.

AFTERNOON OF PRAYER

The next Afternoon of Prayer in Our Lady of Lourdes Church Scartaglen will be on Sunday August 21st commencing as usual with the Rosary at 2.30pm when John Delaney will be present. Everyone welcome.

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION

The Church Gate Collection this weekend is the Diocese Collection in aid of World Meeting of Families 2018. Pope Francis has chosen Ireland to host the 9th World Meeting of Families during 2018.
