‘Shop and rock’ day at Galvins

-

MARIA Galvin and her staff at No. 41 Main Street will celebrate their first five years of business in town with a unique event from 2pm to 4pm on Monday, August 22.

On the Monday morning of July 4, 2011, Maria Galvin opened her Galvin Optometrists at No. 41 Main Street, Castleisland.

The event on Monday week is designed to mark what Maria described as a small milestone in the greater scheme of things but a huge one for her business.

“We are having a ‘Shop and Rock Day’ here in Castleisland on Monday, August 22. A band called The Remedy will play a gig from 2pm-4pm in the practice.

While the band will play on for the couple of hours, we are going to have a sale where all stock will have a huge 20 per cent discount,” said Maria, explaining her novel idea.

After a few weeks of trading at her new premises back in 2011, Maria’s decided to officially launch her business and cousin, John Galvin, former Limerick inter-county footballer and St. Mary’s basketball star player, did the honours for her on August 6, 2011.

“It may seem as a small milestone, but for us it is a very large one,” said Maria.

“To be open here in Castleisland for five years is an honour. We pride ourselves on providing a local, family friendly optometry business in the heart of the Castleisland community.

“We all love what we do and we try to offer the best, most personalised service that we can.

“We can assure all of our customers that we will continue to educate ourselves to the highest standard and we are committed to investing in the latest technology advances.

“We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the people who have chosen to use our service to date.”
