Aunty Nellies hold official opening

-

INDEPENDENT Kerry TD Michael Healy Rae will show off his sweeter side later this month when he officially opens Aunty Nellie’s in Killarney.

In a change of pace from the cut and thrust of Dáil Eireann the Kilgarvan TD will be a kid in a candy store when he performs the official launch of the Killarney sweet shop on Sunday August 28.

Aunty Nellie’s opened its doors earlier this year creating five new full and part time jobs, and has proven to be a great addition to shopping in Killarney.

The “Secret Party” on August 28 aims to give a little something back to the local community after a great first few months.

“This is an invitation to everyone to come along on the day and to join our celebration, it has been a busy few months for us so this is our opportunity to say a BIG thank you to everyone who has supported us,” said Store Manager PJ O’Sullivan explained.

PJ and the team are hoping to treat a few new friends on the day also.

“If you haven’t had a chance to visit us yet we would love to see you. There will be lots going on for all the family, and plenty of free samples too,” he said.

The official opening takes place with Deputy Michael Healy Rae at 2pm, but the fun family party will go on all day with entertainment from DJ Liam O’Riordan, face painting and balloons for the children, and some great prizes for kids of all ages up for grabs.

In addition to the cutting of the ribbon by Michael Healy Rae Sunday, August 28 will see the launch of Aunty Nellie’s new loyalty card to reward our loyal customers.

Aunty Nellie’s stocks a large range of sweets, Artisan handmade ice cream from Featherbed farm and American candies.
