Top two in Roll of Honour to meet in County SHC decider
THE 2016 Kerry senior hurling championship final will be between Ballyduff and Kilmoyley. In last Sunday’s semi-finals, Ballyduff had a rather easy 1-20 to 0-11 win over Abbeydorney while in a close contest, Kilmoyley had a 1 point win over St. Brendan’s, 1-13 to 0-15.
It will be their first meeting in a final since 1988 when Ballyduff won by 1-5 to 1-4. Ballyduff lead the Kerry hurling championship roll of honour with 24 titles with Kilmoyley following closely on 23. Kilmoyley are the current champions while Ballyduff last won the title in 2012.
The final is pencilled in for Sunday September 11.
All-Ireland Minor ‘B’ Championship
THE Kerry minor hurlers had a 2-19 to 1-15 win Down last Saturday at Newbridge in the semi-final of the All-Ireland minor ‘B’ championship [Corn Peadar Ó Liatháin]. Meath will be their opponents in the final. They had a convincing 8-25 to 0-11 win over Wicklow.
The final is fixed for Saturday, September 3. Check www.gaa.ie for details. Kerry will be aiming for their fifth title in a row at this level.
All-Ireland U-21 ‘B’ Championship
THE Kerry under-21 hurlers travel to Trim on this Saturday to play Meath in the semi-final of the All-Ireland ‘B’ championship [Richie McElligott Cup]. The game goes ahead at 3pm.
Meath and Roscommon contest the other semi-final at Castlebar, also on this Saturday with the final fixed for Saturday, 10th September.
County Minor Hurling Championship semi-finals
THE Keanes Supervalu Killorglin Minor Hurling Championship semi-finals are down for decision on this Saturday (6:30pm) with extra-time where necessary: Lixnaw v Causeway in Kilmoyley Crotta v St Brendans in Abbeydorney

ABBEYDORNEY play Kilmoyley in the Credit Union Senior Hurling League Division 2 final in Causeway on this Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm.

TO kick off and celebrate the All-Ireland Hurling Final weekend, Tralee Parnells will hold a ‘Big Blitz Day’ for hurling and camogie on Saturday, 3rd September at the John Mitchel’s G.A.A. Complex. Further details on the Parnell’s Facebook page.
Tralee Parnells coaching programme continues at the Caherslee GAA grounds every Friday from 7-8pm. A special welcome for under 6 players, those born in 2010 & 2011. There will be no registration fee for new members for the remainder of 2016 so all interested children are welcome to come and give hurling a try.
