The lengthy journey to Ballybunnion last Sunday seem to play a part in a sluggish start from Piarsaigh na Dromoda. Three goals from the hosts including one from a penalty put the Pearses under undue pressure from early on. That said, Dromid took their points at every opportunity and kept Beale within arms length. The half time score was Dromid’s 0.10 to Annascaul 3.05.

The Pearses were first on the board in the second half from a point from All-Ireland Junior Niall Ó Sé and they maintained the upper hand for all of the second half. It was the goal from Dilan O’Donchú that put the visitors in the lead for the first time in the game and it was a lead that they never relinquished. Gearoid Ó Súilleabháin put his stamp on the game by adding three points from play and equally substitute Caoimhín O’Laoire made his presence felt and also scored from play. The final score was Piarsaigh na Dromoda 1.19 to Beale ‘s 3.05. The next game is a back game away to Gneeveguilla where we will be looking to win once again to ensure relegation is avoided.
