Kerry woman seeks owner of long lost bracelet

- By FERGUS DENNEHY

A KERRY woman is seeking to reunite a long lost bracelet with its owner, after she found the very unique – and no doubt sentimental – piece of jewellery during a community games event in Castleisland way back in 2005.

Twenty two year old Christina Sayers from Derrymore said she was 11 years old when she stumbled across the adult-sized bracelet (pictured), which is inscribed with the name ‘Ciara’ on the front and a possible date of birth of ’25-12-04’ on the back.

Chritina found the bracelet at the running track in Castleisland and brought it home in the hopes of finding an owner. However, she eventually lost track of it herself and only recently came across it again.

“I’ve kept it for so long and I’ve always meant to try and find the owner but I never got around to it and eventually it just got buried and forgotten at the bottom of a drawer,” said Christina.

Although she admits that it may be a completely lost cause in trying to find its original owner, she thinks it would be an absolutely lovely story if they could.

“Oh, I think it’d be excellent to get it back to her, obviously I’ve no idea if they’re still here in Kerry or even still aware of the bracelet but I’ll give it a go anyway and hopefully, they’ll be delighted to see it again!” she finished.

Anyone looking to claim the bracelet can get in contact with us here at the Kerryman by emailing sending a message to The Kerryman Facebook page.
