DEATH

Catherine (Kathleen) O’Shea of Octive died peacefully in St Anne’s Hospital Cahercivee­n on Sunday, August 14, in her 93rd year. Her remains were removed from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home to St Finian’s Church on Monday evening and received by Fr Martin Sheehan PP Caherdanie­l who celebrated her Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Marion O’Neill sang at Mass. She was laid to rest in Dromid Cemetery. Pre-deceased by her sister Nora and twin brothers Finn and Mick. Kathleen is survived by her niece Kathleen, Curran family Toor and Curran family Octive, Noel Broderick, neighbours and friends to whom we offer our sincere sympathy. On Saturday, August 27, at 5 p.m. in Tech Amergin there will be an Informal talk on the history of Waterville Cable Station followed by walking tour of the cable station weather permitting. Admission free

DIPLOMA IN TEACHING IRISH
