Gneeveguilla were much the stronger side in the second half. Another two goals for the East Kerry side would put the game to bed, as Rangers had no answer apart from a late Daniel Whittleton goal. KERRY MINORS: Huge Congratulations to the Kerry Minor Team and Management after Sunday’s All Ireland Minor Championship victory, especially our neighbours Mike Breen and Caolim Teahan, as well as extended panelists Cormac Leane and Laune Rangers’ own Fiachra Clifford. We also congratulate Laune Rangers’ Padraig Murphy, who was part of Peter Keane’s management team as the strength and conditioning coach and had the team in terrific shape this season. UNDER 14 BOYS: The U14 Boys ‘Blue’ Team will contest the Mid Kerry ‘A’ Final against Beaufort following the completion of the round robin phase of the Championship. The ‘White’ Team finished the competition in the bottom two with Milltown/ Castlemaine and their season is finished. The Mid Kerry U14 ‘B’ Final will be contested between Keel/Listry and Cromane/Glenbeigh/Glencar. UNDER 14 GIRLS: Both of Laune Rangers U14 Girls teams contested East Kerry Finals over the weekend. Unfortunately there was no luck for either team in their respective matches. The ‘White’ Team were defeated by Spa in the Division Three Final following a spirited display, while it took extra time to separate the sides in the Division One Final, but eventually our ‘Blue’ Team were defeated by Rathmore. Hard Luck to all concerned, but well done on reaching the finals and on the level of effort and application shown by both teams. TABLE QUIZ: Laune Rangers Ladies are running a fundraising Table Quiz on Friday, October 21st at 8pm in Bunkers. It always proves an enjoyable evening and all support in entering teams or donating spot prizes would be hugely appreciated.
