Munster Junior Cup wins for Dingle Bay and both Killarney clubs

MUNSTER JUNIOR CUP PRELIMINAR­Y ROUND Classic FC 2 Dingle Bay Rovers 6

DINGLE Bay Rovers are in the hat for the next round after an easy win over Classic FC at Mounthawk Park on Friday evening. Joe Sheehy (2), Cathal Sheehy, Michael Geaney, Jason Hickson and Luke Burgess scored for the West Kerry side. Burgess’s goal was a superb strike from all of 35 yards. Cian Sheridan and Shane Fitzgerald scored for Classic. Dingle now meet Fenit in the next round.

Inter Kenmare 1 Killarney Athletic 3

KILLARNEY Athletic are through to the next round after a win over Inter Kenmare. The man of the match for the winners was Shane Lynch who scored all 3 goals. Brian Clifford was the Inter goal scorer. Athletic are away to Tralee Dynamos in the next round.

Killarney Celtic 2 Mitchels Avenue 0

KILLARNEY Celtic had to work hard to overcome a spirited Mitchels Avenue side but a brace of goals by Gary Keane gave the home side a comfortabl­e win at the end. They now travel to play Castleisla­nd in the next round and what a game that should be.
