Our under 13’s won away to listowel Celtic on a score line of 5-1 with goals from Colin o Callaghan ,Padraig Fell, Aaron Burke, James Horgan & Stephen Palmer. Goalkeeper Bryan McCarthy and Centre back Hugh Walsh also impressed.

Our under 14’s defeated Killarney athletic at home on a score line of 7-1 with goals from Two goals from Brian Burke and one each from Liam O’Driscoll ,John Power, Aaron O’Shea ,Peter Cosgrave & Owen Greaney.Goal Keeper Anthony Griffin played well in organising his defence.

Membership is €50 per player ,senior & underage, Family of two €90 & family of three €120.

Congratulation to Cian o Callaghan & Niall Donohue on receiving All Ireland Minor Medals on Sunday last with Kerry. A marvellous achievement for both.

SYMPATHY

The death has taken place of John P Fitzgerald, Goulane. Requiem Mass took place in St Gertrude’s Church, Firies on Saturday morning, followed by burial in Molahiffe Cemetery.

The deaths have also taken place of Joan Griffin (nee McGillycuddy, Mounthenry), Ballyheigue and William O’Brien, Laharn, Milltown.

Sympathy is extended to their families, relatives and friends.

BALLYHAR CHOIR

THRESHING CANCER

Annual threshing vintage and family fun duay in aid of Kerry Cancer Care Support is being held on September 25 on the farm of Brendan Ferris, Beaufort at 1pm.

TABLE QUIZ

Ballyfinnane Community Association will hold a Table Quiz in the Shanty Bar on Friday September 23rd in aid of Tír na nOg Orphanage in Tanzania. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

CONGRATULATIONS

Congrats to Cian Callaghan and Niall Donohoe who were members of the Kerry minor panel that beat Galway in the All-Ireland final in Croke Park on Sunday.

Congrats also to Noelle Lenihan who won a bronze medal in the discus at the Paralympics in Rio. Noelle has cousins living in Firies and Keel, Castlemaine.
